Sean McVay and the Rams run a very cohesive offense. Marked by a high use of 11 personnel over the years, the Rams always do a good job of making their base plays look alike. This is true for all categories of their offense, run game, play action, drop back, and screen.One great example of the offense’s cohesiveness is the package built around the Choice concept. The Rams have calls and adjustments to get to any area of the field they want with the concept. They have the ability to adapt to how the defense plays the route too.With Stafford at Quarterback in 2021, the Rams utilized other parts of the playbook that were sparingly used in previous years. The ability to adapt an offense to a new quarterback is a critical task for any head coach and offensive coordinator, and the Rams provide the blueprint for how it should be done.When watching the Rams on tape, the different ways they use their Wrap/Slide adjustment in the run game made me want to take a deeper look at the entire offense this offseason. These adjustments have slowly been incorporated over the last two seasons, but the usage evolved in 2021 as the Rams expanded it through more of their base run schemes.The Rams added RPO’s to their arsenal in 2021, which was not a big part of their system in years past.
